Does an independent wedding ceremony replace a civil ceremony?
No, because an independent wedding ceremony has no legal validity, similar to a church wedding. Ideally, you should obtain the "formal blessing" beforehand at the registry office. Alternatively,
a civil and an independent wedding ceremony can be combined, but this requires more coordination
between all parties involved.
What does a wedding officiant do at an independent wedding ceremony?
I am neither a registrar, nor a wedding planner, nor a pastor. I will plan your wedding ceremony with you and will gladly provide suggestions and possible rituals (e.g., ring exchange, involvement of your guests, ...). On the big day, I will guide you and your guests through this part of the wedding celebration. An independent wedding ceremony typically lasts between 30 and 45 minutes.
When is the right time for an independent wedding ceremony?
It doesn't matter whether it's 10 days after your civil wedding ceremony or 10 years later.

In which languages do you hold your celebrations?
I am happy to conduct your ceremony in German, English, or Spanish. Multilingual ceremonies combining any of these three languages are also possible.
